-Highest number of nominations yet for Women’s Awards |

Organisers of this year’s Swansea Bay Woman of the Year Awards have received a record number of nominations for this November’s event.
The award’s, organised by the Bay in Business and sponsored by John Collins & Partners LLP, recognise and celebrate the achievements of women across the Swansea Bay region.
Over 90 nominations have been received in 5 categories, which is higher than any other previous year.
The nominees will be short listed with 15 finalists going on to attend the awards ceremony, which will be held at the Brangwyn Hall, Swansea on 30th November.
The evening will be hosted by Sara Edwards from BBC Wales with award winning comedian Jenny Éclair as the guest speaker.
Event coordinator, Sarah Toomey said: “The level of interest we have received this year has been fantastic and as organisers we have been amazed by the high quality of nominations. This is going to make the job of the judges an extremely tough one.”
“The Business Category” attracted the most nominations with a record high of 30 nominations.

Many women who are making their mark in their chosen field every day and these awards recognise the immense part which these women are playing in the continued growth of the local economy and the well being of the community."
