Local Supplier Development & Contract Shop

The project builds on the success of "Contract Shop" which originated in North Wales and has been run in many other areas throughout Wales in the last three years. The project provides support to facilitate inter-trading activity and provides practical assistance to businesses to secure both public and private sector contracts.

The backbone of the Local Supplier Development project is provided by:

• A team of ten Supplier Champions who will provided one to one assistance to businesses to maximise their trading potential. The Supplier Champion for Swansea, Neath Port Talbot and Bridgend is Paul Rogers.

• A comprehensive website profiling all participating SME's at www.contractshop.co.uk

Contract Shop provides

• A detailed directory of 6000 businesses throughout Wales. The directory is structured by region and industry making it easy to search for the right buyer or seller near you.

• An easy-to-use requirements posting service giving you the power to advertise your buying and selling needs whenever they occur

• Details of events and support activities in your area.
