Free Courses Available to Budding Businesses

FREE expert courses are now available to offer top tips to Swansea's growing new businesses.

The courses are being run at The Business Centre Swansea on St Mary's Square until the end of March and cover areas such as finance and funding, negotiation skills and marketing. Some of the other topics being covered include fresh start survival and the responsibilities of directors.

The courses will last either half a day or a full day.

Figures show the Business Centre Swansea has helped approximately 90 businesses start up since last April and have also dealt with over 800 enquiries in that time.

Donna Davies, Principle Project Development Officer at the Business Centre Swansea, said: "The aim of this programme of courses is to introduce prospective business owners and managers to the specific issues relating to managing and operating businesses with potential for growth.  I would urge anyone interested to book their place soon to avoid disappointment."

The dates of the courses are as follows:

March 16: Management for Growth (Half Day)

March 18: Finance and Funding (Half Day)

March 25: Negotiation Skills (Half Day)  

March 29: Marketing for Growth (Half Day)

March 30: Fresh Start Survival (Half Day)

Full day courses start at 9.15am and finish at 4.30pm. Half day courses start at 9.15am and finish at 1.00pm.
